NFPA 288 is a new
document describing a
test procedure for
evaluating floor fire doors
used in a horizontal
assembly. This test
standard has been
developed for use in
evaluating the
performance of "floor fire
door assemblies" when
installed horizontally in fire resistance-rated floor
assemblies. It measures the ability of the floor fire door
assembly to remain in the opening and resist the passage
of flame and heat with load carrying applications.
